The Black Glazed Latte returns every fall at Starbucks.

Black Glazed Latte

They say the new recipe has 17% less sugar and calories compared to last year—but honestly, it still felt quite sweet to me. The first sip was all about the burnt caramel powder—that deep, toasty sweetness hit right away. It paired beautifully with the smooth milk and espresso, giving off a cozy, almost nostalgic vibe that really matched the fall mood.

That said, if you’re someone who prefers less sugary drinks, I’d definitely recommend asking for less syrup. The default version is definitely on the sweet side.

One thing I noticed: the Tall size only comes with one espresso shot, so the drink leaned more toward a dessert-like latte than a strong coffee. If you're looking for more coffee depth, adding one or two extra shots would help balance it out.

Overall, I’d say this is a great option if you enjoy sweet lattes with a bit of character.
