The Choux Cream Malcha Latte is Starbucks Korea’s spring seasonal drink. As a matcha fan, I had to give it a try.

Choux Cream Malcha Latte

What caught my eye first was the beautiful light green color—it looked just like spring in a cup. On top, there’s a soft swirl of choux cream-flavored whipped topping with a generous dusting of matcha powder. Visually, it’s one of the most refreshing drinks I’ve seen from Starbucks.

Flavor-wise, this drink surprised me. Many matcha lattes tend to be weak or overly milky, but this one had a rich matcha base that was both bold and slightly bitter. The sweetness from the choux cream and the latte itself didn’t overpower it—instead, it balanced the flavor in a really satisfying way.

I’ve always found Starbucks’ signature Choux Cream Latte to be too sweet for my taste, but the Malcha version was different. The sweetness felt lighter, and the matcha helped cut through the richness. It was sweet, creamy, and slightly bitter all at once—just the way I like my matcha drinks.

The only downside? It’s seasonal. If it comes back next spring, I’ll definitely go get it again.
