Shrimp Jjajang Ramen

Ingredients (Serves 1)

  • 1 pack of jjajang ramen
  • 10 shrimp (about 80g)
  • 20g green onion 
  • 90g onion 
  • 1 Korean chili pepper (Cheongyang gochu, optional) 
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil 
  • A pinch of black pepper 


Instructions 

1. Prep the Vegetables

Finely slice the green onion and chili pepper.

2. Make Green Onion Oil 

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over low heat. Add green onion and sauté until fragrant.

3. Cook the Shrimp and Vegetables 

Add shrimp, onion, and chili pepper. Stir-fry over medium heat. Add a pinch of black pepper for extra aroma.

4. Cook the Noodles

While the shrimp is cooking, boil the noodles in a separate pot for 4 minutes.

5. Add the Seasoning

Once the shrimp and onion are cooked, reduce heat. Add the jjajang powder soup base and 3 tablespoons of water. Stir until the ingredients are well coated.

Add the drained noodles to the pan and toss everything together lightly.
