Ramen is always comforting, but sometimes you crave something bolder and spicier than usual. That’s when Samyang Spicy Ramen comes in. I recently cooked a pack to satisfy my craving and wanted to share my honest review.

Samyang Spicy Ramen

First Impressions & Cooking

The moment I opened the packet, a strong, spicy aroma hit me. The seasoning smelled sharper than the regular Samyang ramen, and the broth turned into a deep, fiery red as it boiled. Even before tasting it, I could tell this ramen wasn’t going to hold back on heat.

Perfect Pairing with Kimbap

I didn’t plan on eating the ramen alone—I had some freshly made kimbap ready. The rich broth of spicy ramen with a bite of kimbap is an unbeatable combo. I admit I ate half the rolls while waiting, but once the ramen was ready, the pairing of hot broth and kimbap was simply perfect.

The Taste of the Broth

Taking the first spoonful, the spice immediately kicked in. But it wasn’t just heat—it had a savory depth that made it addictive. I’d describe it as “the perfect maximum spice that’s still enjoyable.” It’s spicy, clean, and keeps you wanting more. If you’re not used to spicy food, it might feel intense, but ramen lovers will definitely appreciate it.

If you already enjoy Samyang Original Ramen, I highly recommend trying the spicy version. It takes the familiar taste and adds a fiery twist that makes the whole experience exciting. I finished the bowl completely—and honestly, I’m already craving another one.
